• Please comment on the prompt below–the Dillard/Lamott post I put up last week.
• Read the sample essays and draft your THIS I BELIEVE piece. Bring two copies of your typed piece to class on Tues. Use the guidelines attached at the end of the sample essays in the handouts.
• Read the Romano, Murray and Rief pieces (handouts from class on TH). Annotate. These are three of our most important writers/writing teachers.
• Locate 3 themes that appear across all 3 pieces, themes that resonate with you. These themes may be stated or treated differently by each author. But they should be themes that you want to inform your own classroom practice.
• Pick one of these themes and blog about it integrating references to each of these readings in your post.
• Please bring the handouts to class on TUES in a three-ring binder that you will use to hold all of your course handouts as well as your own writing notebook entries. KES
